In December 2021, five members of the Mebane Woman’s Club traveled to meet and hike with the founding fathers of the Elkin Valley Trail Association. Bob and Bill shared their insight and wisdom for creating a trail community and advised the team to ‘include ALL of the trails in your community!’ The team debriefed in a local Elkin brewery and dreamed of how promoting, supporting and maintaining the Mebane trails would increase awareness and ultimately improve the mental and physical well -being of trail users. And thus, the Mebane Trails Rangers was born.

Our mission is to promote, support and help maintain the trails in Mebane, provide educational workshops and advocate for health and wellness in nature while partnering with our local government, the citizens of Mebane and our guests.

The Mebane Trail Rangers focuses on maintenance, education, and fun for the following trails: Mountains-to-Sea Trail (MST), Cates Farm Park, and the 5 Mebane City Trails.

Meetings are open to people of all ages and held the first Thursday of every month at 6:30 PM.  We meet at the Mebane Arts and Community Center (MACC) Nov – April and Lake Michael May – Oct.
