Who We Are
Mebane Woman’s Club (MWC) was founded in January of 2001 by a group of 18 ladies who came together to establish an entity devoted to volunteerism. We are a proud member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) that is more than 60,000 members strong.
What We Do
We are dedicated to community improvement through the act of volunteerism by leading free health and wellness programs, delivering food for Meals On Wheels, providing educational and hygiene supplies to local schools, raising money to end domestic violence and other worthy initiatives.
How We Do It
Volunteerism is the backbone of our identity. We do our best work when we have a diverse group of women come together to further our cause and help our community. Not only do we donate our time, we donate in-kind, and offer monetary donations to different causes. There’s always a seat at our table for more helping hands!
The General Federation of Women’s Clubs is an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. Collectively, we are Living the Volunteer Spirit.
The Mebane Woman’s Club (MWC) is a place for all of those who identify as women. Your age, skin color, address, abilities, background and religion are welcome here. Our differences make us stronger, bolder and more interesting and we celebrate each and every one of them.
