Mebane Community Garden
Conserving our natural resources is important to club members. As such, we launched the Mebane Community Garden in 2007 to allow local citizens to rent plots for growing their own produce. The community garden is located downtown on Vine Street behind the Mebane Fire Department on First Street. For more information about the garden, email your questions to [email protected] or visit Mebane Garden’s Facebook page here
Litter Pick Up
The MWC organizes litter pick up around the community. Every year we remove hundreds of pounds of trash from our lakes, streams, roads and parks. If you know of an area that needs to have litter removed, contact us at [email protected]
Pollinator Gardens
The MWC maintains two pollinator gardens at Cates Farm Park. If you are interested in learning how to start a pollinator garden, contact us at [email protected]
Mebane Trail Rangers
In 2021, the MWC started the Mebane Trail Rangers to promote, support and help maintain the trails in Mebane, provide educational workshops and advocate for health and wellness in nature while partnering with our local government, the citizens of Mebane and our guests. Our two areas of focus include programming and trail maintenance.
- Programming includes but is not limited to; birding workshops, hiking 101 workshops, and two youth programs: Little Explorers and Junior Trail Rangers.
- Maintenance includes but is not limited to maintaining the trails at Cates Farm Park and the Urban City Trails.
