ARTS & CULTURE

Communities come alive with Art! Each spring the General Federation of Women’s Clubs in NC holds an annual art festival in Mebane and our members help organize and host the event. In 2024, we also hosted and organized a district art festival. 

The GFWC-NC’s President’s Project for 2024-2026 is ‘Find Your Beat, Join the Rhythm’ so follow us on Facebook as we create and support Arts & Culture events in our community. 

Some of our art projects include sponsoring an annual holiday card contest in the elementary schools, making cards for the troops, painting at festivals with children, hosting a local chef and author, creating fun videos for children, creating beautiful pottery with our members and more!

We encourage members to promote and support art and cultural programs not only in our community but around the world. Projects include crafts, dance, drama, food, and music to name just a few.  If you have ideas for art projects in the Mebane community, contact us at [email protected]
